Other Academic Activities

Research seminars:

GER post-graduate students and teachers participate in the organization and develop of informal and participative research seminars, in order to acquire research skills and competences related to the postgraduate studies. Skills as the defence and discussion of own/external research results and communication of research activities, short stays, research projects, congress participation and used methodologies, are expected to be acquired.

Conferences, Visits, among others:

Conferences and visits are organized by all members of GER to bring expertise from different areas to the University of Cantabria. Sometimes the expertise comes from the region of Cantabria in order to show the local industry and activities but other times the expertise comes from academic regions all over the world: Spain, Europe, South America are the origin of most of the expertise that comes to visit us.

Furthermore, every year 4-5 visits are also organized by the GER members to show some of the local industries to the students; every once in a while, the destination of the visits are Spanish Industries. Most of the visits are intended for the undergraduate students to give them the opportunity know the local industry; but master or PhD students are also invited.
