Dra. Tamara Llano from the GER research group of the Department of Chemistry and Process and resource Engineering has attended at the 1st International Cellulose Fibres Congress held in Cologne (Germany) and organized by the Nova Institute (https://cellulose-fibres.eu/). An overview of the global market of dissolving pulp, policies and strategies towards circular bioeconomy through new products and new technologies has been exposed. In this sense, pulping and fibre producers all over the world presented its last results on this topic and several solutions for textile fibres recycling.
The work sent to the congress is entitled “Cellulose reactivity enhancement by TCF bleaching and DES treatment for viscose production” whose authors were Carlos Arce, Tamara Llano and Alberto Coz. The financing of this trip has been obtained from the “Europe Research” actions within the framework of the Spanish Plan for scientific and technical research and innovation 2017-2020 (Call 2019).
